What can you earn in your first year with IFG?
On our starting agent contract of 75% with 9-month commission advances, you can earn $70,000 in your first year. Below we have outlined what you will have to do to reach that income:
- Our average monthly premium per sale is $60.
- Your commission is based on the annualized premium, which is $720. ($60 X 12 months)
- Your full first year commission on one $60 policy would be $540. (.75 or 75% of $720)

- Upon issue of the policy you will receive 9 months of your 12 months commission in the form of an advance. The amount would equal $405. (.75 or 75% of $540)
- By running 10-15 appointments a week, 3 to 4 nights a week, you will sit with 10-12 individuals or couples. With our sales system you should close no less than 6-8 sales. On average, you will have at least 4 policies issued and paid for that week.
- So, $405, which is your advance commission, multiplied by 4 equals $1,620 a week.
- We base our year on 50 weeks, so $1,620 X 50 = $81,000 in gross income.
- Our company offers a prospecting system, which is commonly referred to as a lead system, that is optional for our agents.
- So $81,000 minus $10,500 for leads = a net income of $70,500.
Second year income earning potential would be greater because of the residual income from all your first year "as earned" commissions, that will be paid to you beginning on the tenth month of the policy. This can add up to several hundred dollars a month, in addition to your earned advances.
